In order to connect a DVI-D monitor to the DisplayPort port on USB-C Dock, an active DisplayPort to DVI-D adapter or cable is required. A regular passive DisplayPort to DVI cable will not work. For example, the LG 27MP38VQ monitor has both VGA and DVI-D inputs. You can connect it to the USB-C Dock via a DisplayPort to VGA cable, or an active
Output 2: HDMI 1 or DisplayPort 1. Output 3: HDMI 2 or DisplayPort 2. Output 2 and Output 3 are likely using DP++, which means they can be set to output either an HDMI or DisplayPort signal, but not both at the same time. It seems that Output 2 is physically connected from the GPU to both the charging USB-C port (#1) and the HDMI port (#5). Step 1: Connect. Connect your second monitor to a power outlet and the available port on your PC or laptop (this is usually an HDMI port). If you’re connecting a third, make sure that there is an additional port on your PC or laptop (otherwise you may require an extension).
Nazim. 11 1. Just FYI: My current setup with Macbook Air M1 is external (non-apple) dongle with multiple ports (HDMI, USB, USB-C, memory cards) and I'm connecting monitor via HDMI in this dongle. If a lid is closed, laptop needs to be connected to the charger (via USB-C port in this dongle). It's a pity that this setup cannot be achieved

A USB-C port can optionally have a DisplayPort output wired from the system’s GPU to that port, which is how they can be used to run a display. That capability was never available for USB-A ports, and a USB-C to HDMI adapter allows you to connect a USB-C output to an HDMI input, not the other way around. There is no way to get that display

Good Morning Zettie29 ! The USB-Type C version of this model is 3.1 Gen.1, for data only. Only USB-Type C 3.1 Gen.2 connections with Thunderbolt technology support can send video signal.
