The landing pad is awarded when your base computer hits 98% recovering the files. Be warned, several people have reported the final step of this quest is bugged. Nothing happens when going to another system to find the final location. You might want to back up your save file before triggering the base computer again after you get the landing pad.
One of my frigates has a damaged component. But the landing pads on the frigate appear to be the item that needs repaired. But I cannot land on the frigate to repair it. The game say "Landing unavailable" when I try. Any suggestions?
There are two types - derelict (from the recent update, has a purple icon, can land on it on a landing pad), and crashed/abandoned (is broken in pieces, cannot land on it, can blow cargo pods for loot/pirates). Re9wXv.
