Hi.. I do not think there is a direct bus to sliema. I have used the Bus from the Airport to Valletta many times and it can be found directley outside the terminal across the road allows drop offs.It normally runs from 5.30 am in the morning till about 8 pm and runs usually every 30 mins..(weekend may differ)..and there is a Timetable next to the Bus Shelter.
Was in Malta in June this year, taxi from airport to Sliema (Tower Rd) was about 8Mlira. While in malta we used - Wembley Garage Car service (356) 2135 2074 we found them to be reliable & prompt and always on time, but always ask beforehand "how much it will cost" first, do not get the "white taxis" from Valletta they charge more. also check out the Maltese Tourist Authority website sorry cant
